Spring Valley-  At about 1:30AM a Sheriff deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for suspicion of driving under the influence on SR-54 near Briarwood when the driver took off, leading officers on a pursuit that ended at Jamacha Blvd and 125 when the vehicle lost control at the top of the off ramp and careened over the side of an embankment, landing on its top.  Fire rescue crews responded and had to extricate both occupants, a male and female.  The female was transported by Mercy Air and the male by ground ambulance.
