San Diego Bay- One man is dead after an altercation with Harbor Police. According to police, a charter boat cursing the bay reported a man overboard to the US Coast Guard. A responding Harbor Police boat arrived at scene and found a man in the water. The man boarded the police boat and began fighting with officers according to the press release. One of the two officers was knocked to the deck of the boat, injured. The suspect took the officer's taser and struck him violently in the fact with it. Police say that the suspect then tried to take the officers firearm. The second officer shot the suspect one time in the torso to stop the assault. The boat then went to a dock to meet paramedics. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. One officer was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Harbor Police, San Diego Police and the District Attorney's office are investigating the incident.
