El Cajon-   According to El Cajon Police Lt. Jim Redman, a patrol sergeant spotted a stolen Honda Prelude in the are of Lincoln and Lexington.  He lost sight of the vehicle and officers began to search the area.  The car was spotted by another officer, but before he could begin a traffic stop, the driver of the Honda sped off.  As the officer was attempting to catch up to the Honda, it's driver ran a stop sign at Camden and Avocado, striking a Toyota Camry.  Two occupants of each vehicle were taken to area hospitals for apparently minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was arrested for auto theft.
