Lakeside-  An early morning fire destroyed a home in the 12500 block of Royal Road.   The fire began around 2AM prompted a first-alarm response from local fire units.  On arrival, heavy fire activity and reports of ammunition going off caused firefighters to go into a defensive-only firefighting mode.  The fire was extinguished in about thirty minutes.
