Julian-  A wildland fire, dubbed the Angel Fire, ripped through the dry brush on the slopes just east of the town of historic Julian Saturday afternoon threatening homes as fire crews raced to contain it.  The fire, apparently started by an illegal campfire continues to burn Sunday and has kept highway 79 down the banner grade closed as firefighting efforts continue. Update: Per the CDF web page, one home and twenty-three out buildings were destroyed.
