City Heights-  San Diego Police officers on patrol heard gunshots near 4800 El Cajon Blvd at about 11:15 p.m. Friday night and began to investigate the source.  A detective found a male down in the east alley of the 4300 block of 48th street.  The man was lying on the ground next to what was later identified as his vehicle.  According to the preliminary investigation the man had stopped to visit someone in nearby apartments leaving some companions in his vehicle.  While he was in the apartment, a white vehicle passed by several times and when the victim returned to his vehicle the white vehicle passed by a third time and stopped.  Two people got out of the white car and one fired multiple rounds at the victim, striking and killing him.
